Uses of Darvocet:
Darvocet (propoxyphene and acetaminophen) is a combination of a narcotic analgesic and less powerful analgesic and antipyretic used to treat moderate pain mild. Darvocet is abrand name available in the US generic versions. Darvocet is not to share with another person, mostly because it could be highly addictive to people who experienced a history of drug abuse or have tendency for addiction. Keep the medication in a place where others cannot get to it.
For adults 1-2 tablets every 4 hours is recommended, people who weight less than 60kg should take 1 tablet and people that wight more than 60kg can take 2 tablets every 4 hours.
These small amounts wont cause adverse effects in infants & small children. Darvocet other drugs for pain drugs, increases the effects of drugs that slow down brain function, such as alcohol, barbiturates, muscle relaxants, including Soma and Flexeril.
Common side effects of Darvocet include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, blurred vision, dry mouth, sedation, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness and constipation. Propoxyphene may be habit forming.
Do not use if suffering from:
- allergic to acetaminophen (Tylenol) or propoxyphene.
- kidney failure.
- Chronicle Sleep depression.
- a gallbladder or pancreas disorder
- a stomach or intestinal disorder.
- mental illness, like schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder.
